Aloha!! So I see you’ve stumbled upon our “About” page! This could only mean that you are interested to know who are the people behind the Whytespider team.
The Whytespider team consists of two overgrown boys, namely Rainer Yong who is the founder, serial prankster, author and kid at heart of the Whytespider team and Paul Koh who is the professional photographer, author, project partner, semi-prankster and teenage girl’s lover boy (heh heh heh).
In March 2008, I threw the idea of starting a blog towards Paul over a cup of “Teh-Tarik”. This blog would focus mainly on realistic challenges set by other people for us to do. The “pitch” that I used to reel Paul into the team was a simple “Do you think we can lose 10kgs or more in two months?” Believe me, It is a hard challenge for us because we love our food and we’re also big eaters!
He got excited and joined right away! Muahaha. Ever since that “teh-tarik” session, we’ve been throwing ideas back and forth and decided that this blog would be better suited if we could blog about anything except personal stuff, but maintaining a special page just for the “challenges” mentioned earlier.
That’s pretty much the short history of how Whytespider came about. Here are some facts that most of you don’t know about 
#1 – Initially this project had three names attached to it. The Rainer Yong Project, FiftyForty and Whytespider. When Paul came in, he suggested that it sounded better as Whytespider.
#2 – Whytespider is Rainer’s long time nickname. He has been using it on the internet, gaming, any sort of registrations (online and offline) and bed since 1995.
#3 – The part about using Whytespider as a nickname in bed is false. Else, everything is true.
#4 – Paul has given professional lectures on photography, and he is not even 20 yet!
#5 – Rainer and Paul are both iPhone crazy, but do not own one. Donate anyone?
#6 – They’re both hardcore Manchester United fans.
